non-negotiable values DI MATTEO
We often speak of "non-negotiable values" and you do about and inappropriately.
In the second case they are presented as a handbook in pharmaceuticals, with leaflets, they are to be effective for all demanding legislative measures, they are used instrumentally to buy silence or consents.
I do not deny - while recognizing the extraordinary value of many of those who are normally indicated in the various lists that if they do - to feel a certain discomfort every time I meet them cited. Nuisance because I understand the goal that those who sometimes quotes them, adopting the style, the respect he has for those who think differently and the idea of democracy that animates it.
Also, I must confess that I misunderstood the faith that was given to me.
I have always believed, in light of this, that the true values are not negotiable were those covered by Chapter 5 of Matthew's Gospel (vv. 3-12):
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God
Blessed are the persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven ".
or not.
